This thesis mainly focuses on the innovation of Chinese package design by analyzing the current situation of the package design.At first, it discusses the current problems of the package design through the market investigation. Being the quick development of the international business, package plays a role of salesman of commodities. An excellent package heightens the reputation and gains the profit of a corporation. Nowadays, with the development of the package design there are such problems on the package design as being lack of market consciousness, paying much attention to the visualization instead of the function of the package and imitating the design style of others.Secondly, it also discusses the relationship between the package design and the culture and argues that innovation is the soul of the package design. However, 21st century is the era of the design culture and the culture design. So, the stylist of the package design should look on culture as the soul of design and use it consciously.Finally, the thesis concludes that we should be fully in consideration of consuming culture, brand culture, domestic and foreign culture and environment culture.
