Packaging in today's society has been playing an essential part in people's daily life.Occupying a crucial position in an enterprise production,the packaging inevitably stands for the enterprise's image and conveys the enterprise's first impression left on the consumers.As a key approach to promote the product distribution,guarantee an enterprise's survival and achieve the long-term development,the innovation of packaging exerts a great influence on the development of an enterprise.Taking the design of the Confucius pencils as the case study,this thesis focuses on discussing and analyzing the innovation design of packaging.To infuse the traditional culture in the packaging is regarded as one of the major methods for packaging innovation.A top quality product is matched with a package displaying the traditional culture,which embodies both the cultural connotation and the business value of a product.Cultural confidence is gaining more and more attention in our country and we are supposed to respect the national culture of our own,inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture,make the best use of the essence of the traditional culture and infuse it in the modern packaging so as to promote the package innovation,popularize the enterprise brand and boost the enterprise's development.The realization of the innovation design of the Confucius pencils' packaging requires that a preliminary research into the spiritual connotation of the Confucius culture should be done to extract the excellent cultural elements and apply them to the packaging.First,this thesis makes an analysis of the current situation of the pencils' package both at home and abroad,figures out the problems of the Confucius pencils' package and therefore points out the purpose and significance of this study.Next,a study on the spiritual connotation of the Confucius culture is carried out,from which the cultural elements that conform to the Confucius brand's image are extracted.Finally,with the extracted cultural elements fully applied to the packaging design,this thesis makes a thorough analysis of the innovation design methods that the Confucius pencils adopt from the perspectives of font selection,color optimization,graphic representation,packing box with product descriptions and the product concept so as to enhance the image of the Confucius brand.
