As a valiant female figure comes from MuLanShi which was created in North-Wei dynasty, MuLan had been recreated , narrated , represented and commented by the male scholars in later generations from Tang dynasty to Qing dynasty since MuLanShi was collected from folk into YueFuShiJi in Tang dynasty. From those materials including of biographies, poems, dramas and so on during Tang dynasty to Qing dynasty , we can find that there were some subtle contradictions in the like-so praising voices of the male scholars who were also the writers. In fact, those subtle contradictions were the reflection of the incompatible consciousness of male scholars who tended to praise MuLan but dissatisfied with Mulan because MuLan had transcended the gender restriction. So the male scholars tried their best to speak highly the all kinds of virtues of MuLan, at the same time they also constructed a perfect image of MuLan on the basis of their own imagination of women. For that purpose, in their narrative the male scholars added lots of details and symbols which did not exist in original MuLanShi.Through the further insight into history, we can found that the authors' narrative about MuLan was the evidence of the social-culture context which also encouraged the narrative of the authors, the two integrated into one strong power which restricted the practice standards ,ethics or morals and value selection of women, in detail, there were multi-narratives during Tang dynasty because of the multiple culture; there were lie ( meant that a woman should suicide or end in death in order to keep her fidelity and sexual purity) figures appeared during Yuan dynasty and Ming dynasty when the cruel general mood was popular; when the lie was constricted while the virtues of piety(xiao) and loyalty(zhong) were encouraged during Qing dynasty the narrative of MuLan was changed as the same. But what should not forget is that all the context of social history and culture was constructed by the male scholars. The institution of gender was constructed through the construction of restrictive discourse in this way.
