This thesis intends to provide measures for promoting the mental health of middle schoolstudents in the internet era, by analyzing the impact of current internet culture on theadolescents' mentality and the prevailing mental problems among them.This thesis utilizes such methods: firstly, to complete literature searching, analyzing andstudying by referring to data, social survey, internet searching in order to get the most dataand information;secondly, to sort, analyze and gather the data.The significance of this thesis is that, by analyzing the positive and negative influencesof the internet culture on middle school students, it puts forward schemes and suggestions forthe solution of such problems from both theoretical and practical angles. Furthermore, it canbe referred to by the teachers during their research in mental health education and can beguidance to the mental health education in the internet era theoretically and practically.The main view of the thesis that it is important to catch the characteristics of thementality of adolescents in the background of internet culture. With reasonable educationalmeasures, it can guide and help the adolescents' mentality develop soundly.The first part of this thesis introduces the current situation and characteristics of internetculture. Firstly, it defines the internet culture, indicates its function and introduces its currentsituation. Secondly, it concretely analyzes the basic and essential features of the internetculture, in order to give readers a specific understanding of the internet culture introduced inthis thesis.The second part specifies the impact of the internet culture on the mentality of middleschool students. It provides, from both positive and negative aspects, particular informationabout its influence on the mentality of middle school students. This thesis begins withanalyzing the impact of internet culture on the mentality of middle school students, points outthe prevailing mental problems among middle school students under the influence of theinternet culture, such as, internet addiction syndrome, internet mental obstacle, lack ofsincerity and credit, sexual fancy through internet, "digitized" impediment personality anddisfigured personality and etc.The third and most important part specifies measures for the adolescents' mental healtheducation under the influence of the internet culture from both theoretical and practical pointsof view. Theoretically, this part introduces the characteristics of mental health education at thepresent time, points out the definition and common standard of mental health, the definition ofmental health education, the significance for schools to develop it, and the content of it andetc. Practically, this part analyzes the mentality of middle school students under the influenceof internet culture and brings forward concrete educational measures.The final part of this thesis draws conclusion and presents expectations. At present,Chinese people pay insufficient attention to the mental health education of middle schoolstudents under the influence of internet culture, and have not formed a complete educationalsystem. The educationalists also have not seen the mental health education of middle schoolstudents as fairly important area, and the frequent ignorance of such education results in theexistence of mental problems of middle school students. Therefore, when the whole country isadvancing the quality education, educationalists should keep pace with times and keep an eyeon the internet and the mentality of middle school students to make students have a soundmentality and healthy personality.
