Since different factors of each student such as their individual aptitude and living environment, and subjective effort. Their state of mental activity and behavior in the aforementioned upper areas will display a strong performance of the individuality. That is performance of individual differences in the psychology. Confucius's "teaching according to the student's ability" is talked about for thousands of years, but there are few educators have applied to the education and teaching. Today, the biggest drawbacks of China's education is that they only talk about unity and no individuality. They do not attach importance to the development of students'personality and individuality. Chinese education is not made to cultivate top talents yet. People are different, the talents which the community needs are diverse. Do not forget the differences of education and we must provide right education for each student. This is the so-called greatest fairness.This paper intends to address weaknesses in existing research, from the micro level to find a variety of individual differences. We have mainly made a detailed study on the intelligence and non intelligence aspect, on the subjects of gender, profession, grade, and clarified the importance of understanding the differences. What we do is in the purpose of carrying out the mental health education on the different individuals and proposed tentative countermeasure about university mental health education based on individual differences. Thus in order to draw attention to the individual differences of the students.This paper is divided into four chapters. First part is an analysis of China's mental health education status and problems. Subsequently, the author has carried out a research on the individual differences of college students from two aspects on mental factors and non-intelligence factors. Then based on the second and propose strategies on the mental health education of college students in the context of individual differences. The remaining chapters are dedicated to implement the principle of individual difference, to follow the concept of scientific development education, to build students'psychological health, to strengthen and improve mental health education, to improve the quality of teachers, make strong backing to the mental health education, highlighting the differences of students, and to implement management of difference.
