International Art Exhibition Mode

The international art exhibition was appeared in recent years in China, just at the beginning but has more than one hundred years in the western countries. So we should learn the good aspect and experience from the international art exhibition, which was held in the western courtiers. Combining the real situation of our country we can research and then set up a mode of international art exhibition, which adapt the Chinese art system. By researching, concluding and summarizing the mode of the international art exhibition in the western countries, we could regard these as reference.This text regards the top three international art exhibitions: Venice Biennale, Kassel Documenta and Sao Paulo Biennale and other famous international art exhibitions as the main researching object, explore their historical origin, conclude the difference phases during their development and summarize the character of each phase in order to explain the mode of the exhibition. The article is divided into three parts altogether: the first part is the mode of the international art exhibition in the developed countries. In this part the Venice Biennale and the Tassel Documental are the important exhibitions to be introduced and also give a brief introduction to the Sydney Biennale. The second part is the mode of the international art exhibition in the developing countries. In this part I make a particular introduction to the Sao Paulo Biennale and then make a brief introduction to the Guanzhou Biennale and Dacca Asian Art Biennale in general. In the third part I point out that the developed countries are the pioneers of international art exhibition. So the mode of international art exhibition in developed countries is the frame of reference for developing countries. And the mode of international art exhibition in developing countries also has some influence on developed countries. The international art exhibition in China (Beijing Biennale) was held twice thought it has some characters it still need to be consummated. Beijing Biennale in one aspect should absorb the modes of international art exhibition in developed countries as well as developing countries. And in another aspects should set up a new mode according to the situation in China which fill the development of itself.
