Li Deyu Poetry Rhyme Study

Rhyming study of poems and verses aims to find out the phonetic nature,which is revealed by generalizing the rhyming characters and analysing the representation of rhyming categories. This dissertation observes 140 poems and 48 verses written by Li Deyu in Middle-later Tang Dynasty. By analysing his poems,odes and other verses,this dissertation sums up the deep-seated rhyming system of his personnal writings, and reflects the phonetic phenomena of Middle-later Tang Dynasty.It is known that the poetry of Tang Dynasty was highly prosperous and played an important role in literature. It is an usual and available method to generalize poet's ryhming system by analysing poems'ryhmes.In addition to poetry, ode was also developed prosperously in Tang Dynasty,including Wen Fu,Lv Fu and other styles. And there were other verses ,such as Zhen(箴),Ming(铭),Song(颂),Beiming(碑铭)and so on. These rhyming articles have a great value to investigation of personal rhyme and the whole Tang Dynasty's phonetic phenomena.As a great writer ,Li Deyu,who was good at both poems and odes ,wrote a great deal of poems and verses. At the same time,his living period was particular ,striding across two stages――Middle Tang and Later Tang. And he opposed Keju(科举). All these provide valuable materials for our study. This dissertation attempts to make a thorough analysis and comparison ,basing on the method of total conclusion and each other's comparison.This dissertation contains six chapters .The first chapter is prologue,which presents us a brief introduction to rhyming study of poems and verses at present ,as well as the explanation of research materials and relevant questions .
