Reduplication Form Of Constraints

This article studies the restricting factors of verb reduplication .Verb reduplication is restricted by various factors. Any discussion on a single language aspect is insufficient to show its rule, and thus a comprehensive research is needed.The article includes seven chapters. From the second chapter to the sixth chapter is the main body .Researches are made into the restrictive factors of verb reduplication from the aspects of grammar, semantics and pragmatics, ect. In the grammar aspect, relations between the verb interior structure and the verb reduplication are discussed in an attempt to study the rules restricting verb reduplication from the verb structure point of view, followed by a discussion from the syntax point of view, studying the relations between verb reduplication and syntax ingredients .In the semantic aspect, semantic condition of the verb itself is mainly discussed, namely relations between situation and verb reduplication. In the pragmatic aspect, types of sentence are mainly discussed to analyze verb reduplication .At the same time, analysis is made on the types of writing to study verb reduplication rules.Verb reduplication in the Chinese language is more than the morphology nature. Therefore the sole static lexical analysis cannot completely show the restricting factors of verb reduplication.
