Urban Model High Schools And High School Students' Mental Health Analysis And Comparison

Increasingly, high school students' physical and mental health has been influenced negatively by the rapid development of society, the increasing of competition pressure, and the complication of ecological and social environment. Mental health of the high school students has been concerned about by schools, teachers, parents, and the public along with the promotion of people' s view of health.The education department of Henan province publicized the list of the firstling of demonstrative high school at the end of March, 2005; the title 'provincial key school' was cancelled simultaneously. The appearance of the demonstrative high school means the transformation of conception from the traditional high-class education to popular education, the ultimate purpose of which is promoting the justice of education. The tenet of the demonstrative high school construction is leading the ordinary high schools to implement the making education roundly. Mental health statuses of the demonstrative high school and ordinary high school students have respective characters because they are different in student source, teaching condition, and the extent of concern for mental health education.This research made a questionnaire survey on 956 valid testees using the Middle School Students Mental Health Scale (for short, MSSMHS) .
