Good mental health is an important foundation for physical and mental health in the growth of high school students. High school is an important stage in the development of life, along with the physical and mental development, change the way of thinking, expansion the content of school education, especially faced with the competitive entrance examination. There are many more aspects of mental confusion and problems caused by high school students in learning, self-awareness and interpersonal communications. Mental health education is to improve students’ mental quality, an important quality education is to promote the healthy development of an important guarantee for high school students.Currently, our community have realized the importance and the urgency of students’ mental health education.Many high schools also undertaken a number of theoretical research and practical exploration works in students’ mental health education. However, in our real education, the situation is still not optimistic.This study is based on literature data, using depth interviews and questionnaire method,through in-depth interviews with Shenyang high school students and use the "students’ mental health education needs of Survey Questionnaire" to investigate. Through statistical analysis of survey data found that high school students in Shenyang City, the status of mental health education needs are:(1) Lack of concerns of their mental health and the correct assessment;(2) The satisfaction of school mental health education is low;(3) If they encounter problems, only few students seek help in the counseling room;(4) The main way access to mental health knowledge need to be standardized;(5) High school students want to learn skills, self-understanding and emotional intelligence management and other aspects of psycho-educational content.For this situation, researchers have proposed to improve and perfect Shenyang City High School Mental Health Education Strategies:(1) Schools should raise awareness and increase the students’ mental health education emphasis(2) Schools should constantly improve the level of mental health education programs;(3) Further improve the high school mental health education curriculum content and form;(4) Emphasis on counseling room construction, improve service levels, guide students to obtain effective help.
