Tiqin Opera,one of the various opera,is popular in Chongyang country of HUbei Province.This paper focuses on the description and discussion of the music itself of the opera,the folk opera organization,the spead and inheritance and the cultural ecology of it,based on the existing data and the on-the-spot investigation of the opera.The paper consist of three parts.The first part marks a detailed exposition of the noumenon of Tiqin Opera music ,focusing on orgin of Tiqin Opera from the aspect of its tune,based on the existing data and the oral presentation by Tiqin Opera enter tainers.The second part discusses the operation of the folk opera organization on the folk custom,and also investigates the ways of teaching and learning in carrying on the opera as well as the relation ship between the teacher and the students.The third part probes into the existence of the folk opera organization in the condition of the reform and opening-to-the-world situation,focusing on the relation ship of its existence with the geographical and humanist environment.
