Due to the world-wild using situation of traditional Chinese characters and simplifiedChinese characters, and with regarding Chinese language learner’s needs, this articleanalyzes the traditional to simplified transformation rules of1027Chinese characters, basedon the principle of teaching practice, and within the range of Standardized Chinesecharacters and The Graded Chinese Syllable, Characters and Words for the Application ofTeaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages which contains3000Chinesesyllables and characters.By the analysis of the traditional to simplified transform rules of1027Chinese characters,the author put forward a view that the course on teaching traditional Chinese characters tosimplified Chinese characters could be made and expand in the education field of teachingChinese characters to the speakers of other language. Some available suggestions are alsorecommended in the article:(1)about the teaching requirement;(2) when to take the course?The course is suggested to taken after students grasp1800characters;(3) making full use ofthe traditional to simplified transform rules while teaching the course;(4) assisting the courseby using the motivation teaching;(5) making certain requirements on teaching materials andteachers’ quality.
