Oracle Prepositions, Conjunctions Study

The study on the prepositions and the conjunctions of the inscriptions on animal bones or tortoise shells has obtained great achievements since its discovery. However, at present people also have different opinions on the quantity and the usage of the inscriptions on animal bones or tortoise shells. The recognized of preposition and the conjunction of the inscriptions on animal bones or tortoise shells, the grammatical function of preposition and the conjunction of the inscriptions on animal bones or tortoise shells, the similarities and differences between the prepositions and the conjunctions of the inscriptions on animal bones or tortoise shells and modern Chinese and so on, all need to do the further research, this thesis has made the preliminary discussion about these questions.The thesis includes four chapters: The introduction sums up the studied condition of predecessors to the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells preposition and the conjunction research situation, the research method as well as the material origin which this article uses. First chapter gives the number of the prepositions and the conjunctions in the inscriptions on animal bones or tortoise shells which people recognized, and also discusses the words that people have a difference of opinion. Second chapter defines the quantity of the preposition of the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells, and introduces the grammatical function of the preposition of the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells, summarizes its similarities and differences from the preposition of Modern Chinese. Third chapter defines the quantity of the conjunction of the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells, and introduces the grammatical function of the conjunction of the inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells, summarizes that compared with the conjunction of Modern Chinese, the conjunction of inscription on animal bones and tortoise shells also developed insufficiently.
