Journalism And Communication, The Construction And Development Of Professional Photojournalism Courses

With the further development of the reform and openness to the world, and the advent of the information era, journalism practitioners are required to improve their professional skills. The journalism and communication requires both the professional knowledge and skills and the knowledge of employing multimedia and modern technological means, which must be trained professionally in certain specific schools.As a compulsory course by ministry of education for the students of journalism and communication major, the course of journalism photographing is seeking to cultivate the professional skills the students needed. This course is also one of eight major courses for this major and broadcasting and television journalism, as well as the editing and releasing.The popularization of the new broadcasting media based on the Internet in new century accelerates its omnidirectional development to China's journalism broadcasting. However, to some extent, our journalism photographing education is not widely popularized and still a fragile chain in our journalism media today. Even the journalism photographing education in college sinks into an awkward situation. And now the problems in the journalism photographing are our education attaches more attention to the words than the pictures; emphasize particularly on the skills of photographing; lag behind the pace of society developing. This shows that the journalism schools and colleges in our country haven't paid enough attention to journalism photographing. And its reform is away from the requirements of the tide of journalism photographing reform and the practices of running a journalismpaper.Our institute has been authorized to enroll students of the journalism communicating major since 2007. Because of the experience of teaching photographing and working in a journalismpaper office, I have conducted preparatory research on the journalism photographing course. To meet the requirements of our college cultivating the students majoring in journalism communication and understand the direction of journalism photographing better, It will elucidate how to teach the journalism photographing course from these three points-teaching schedule, teaching content, and the teaching reformation and development.The teaching schedule will be divided and primarily discussed in four parts-the establishment of the teaching goal, the selection of the teaching material, the allocation of the teaching hours, as well as the teaching forms.Teaching content will be illuminated in three parts: the skills of journalism photographing, professional theory, and experiment.It will elucidate primarily the reform and development of the journalism photographing in these parts:(1) Adjusting the conception, setting the international goals(2) Adjusting the structure of the textbooks, enriching the teaching content(3) Reforming teaching methods(4) Setting new assessing means(5) Emphasizing teaching feedback(6) Set continuous development mechanismIn a word, the research on the construction and development of the journalism photographing course is very important to journalism photographing education, and has a significant effect on the reformation and development of the journalism education in colleges.This paper takes theoretical analysis to conduct primary research on the reformation and development of the journalism photographing education based on the advanced education, psychology and modern communication.
