With the merger of college fee-education from 1997 and the expansion from 1999, the amount of poor college students increase rapidly, the ratio of it rises, the problem of it has become more apparent and aroused widespread concern in society. College students' poverty belongs to economic poverty firstly, because of the economic pressures some impoverished college students lead to a lot of psychological problems, and thus fall into the dual-poverty; Though some college students are impoverished, they who show positive progress and high academic achievers can dispel their own economic pressure, even they can change economic pressure into a driving force; In addition, following the development of society and the improving of people's living standards, some non-impoverished college students also appear psychological question, even leading to psychological poverty. All these phenomena are worth thinking deeply.On the basis of a number of related documentation, this study manages to integrate economy, psychological, interpersonal exchanges and other aspects within the framework of a study, and analyze deeply On the inherent logic and interactive generation, then reveal complex linkages between economic poverty and psychological poverty. To this end, this study conducted a survey to 540 undergraduates coming from four universities including Qufu Normal University (Rizhao Campus), Jining Medical College, Yantai University and Shandong Institute of Education using self questionnaire on Students' basic information and knowledge and University Personality Inventory. According to relevant standards and definition, among them 168 impoverished students, 101 psychological needy students and 40 double impoverished students were selected. In this research four aspects of problems were studied: the economic situation of college students; the mental health of college students; the influence of the economy, personality, interpersonal situation on the psychological health of colleges Students; the linkages between economic poverty and psychological poverty.This study was divided into five parts. The first part was its introduction, including the proposed issues and definition of the concept. It pointed out specially that there was a difference between psychological poverty and an unhealthy psychology, psychological poverty is not entirely unique to poor college students. The second part has carried on the historical review. After reviewing the status and progress of current research, the study pointed out the lack of previous studies and cleared a theme in this paper. Part III proposed researching methods, including the subject of investigations, researching tools, researching assumptions, measuring process and processing data. Part IV was empirical Study of the linkages between economic poverty and psychological poverty. This portion was the core of the study. All data were processed and analyzed with SPSS13.0 statistical software, including the regression analysis of predictors, cross-analysis of the factors and independent samples T inspection of scores and so on. Through the progressive description and analysis, results of the study show: From an overall viewpoint, it exists weak correlation between economic poverty and psychological poverty. Economic poverty brings a more significant negative impact to many college students (especially the impoverished students) in interpersonal relationships, the relationship between the students, psychological pressure and Employment expectations. To economic needy students, the possibility of psychological poverty is much higher than non-impoverished college students. More psychological poverty due to psychological causes and the population of the family and mother's education have both a certain prediction to the impoverished college students. Part V described measures and recommendations of relieving the poverty college students. According to the findings, three groups of relieving measures were made to college students of economic poverty, psychological poverty and dual-poverty. Hoping that doing this can help college students get rid of the economic or psychological difficulties and face to life positively and optimistically.
