Bertrand Arthur William Russell(1872-1970) is a famous philosopher, mathematician and logician of the 20th century in the west. The new research paradigm in analytical philosophy and language philosophy which he created plays a leading role in the 20th century western philosophy. The general ideas and basic values about knowledge formed Russell's unique view concerning knowledge. The main elements of Russell's view concerning knowledge contains three dimensions: the source of experience about knowledge, the logical structure in knowledge and the seeking for knowledge certainty. When discussing the source of experience about knowledge, Russell made the distinctions of "knowledge of things" and "knowledge of truth". Using the method of logic analysis, Russell insisted that the classification of the knowledge can be divided into three different levels as atomic proposition, molecular proposition and the knowledge systems. It's a subject of Russell's theory of knowledge that seeking for knowledge certainty and trying to make the reasonable instruction to it.Russell's view concerning knowledge is applied in different fields of philosophy, it elucidates the basic position of theory of knowledge in his whole concept. The theory of types aimed at preserving the certainty and intuition in the knowledge of truth what emphasized in his view concerning knowledge. The theory of descriptions is actually achieved by logic analysis about the proposition subject. The correspondence theory of truth has undergone two stages of development from the correspondence between belief (or judgment) and experience to the correspondence between proposition (or belief) and facts.Russell's view concerning knowledge had direct influence to the latter philosophy movement and philosophy schools, especially the promotion effect to "linguistic turn" revolution and the influence to the Vienna Circle and the school's representative-Carnap. The contributions and limitations of Russell's view concerning knowledge have become valuable ideological wealth to modern western philosophy.
