Based on error-analysis in foreign students'using lexical cohesion in Chinese writing, an empirical research is carried out in this essay to try to explore, exhaustively, the use of lexical cohesion, calculate proportion of errors in lexical cohesion, obtain features and types of these errors and analyze their causes in 100 compositions, irrespective of the writers'nations and levels in studying Chinese. This research aims at discussing further how to arrange teaching material content more reasonably, how teachers who teach foreigners Chinese act accordingly in text teaching and learning, especially in teaching and learning lexical cohesion in text, and how they stimulate their foreign students to write text close to the target language– Chinese.
