Wen Qi On The Main Characteristics And Aesthetic Value

"Wenqi" is a theoretical category of national characteristics in the Chinese ancient literature theory.It had its origins in Chinese philosophy of life,and Pursued harmony between man and nature;its connotation is abundant and unique,covering literature,calligraphy,music,painting and other artistic fields,exploring the essential character of literature and arts.It is hard to find out a theoretical category which can match it in the Western literary theory.This thesis plans to discuss main characteristics of "Wenqi" and its value on the basis of the results of previous studies.Modern scholars carried on multi-angle,deep-level research on "Wenqi"theory,which focused on the following aspects:looking at its connotation with "Style"category;or make a whole description of "Wenqi" or doing a research on concrete"Wenqi"theory of some literary author,and so on.All these study has been expanded theoretical research of"Wenqi".But it is insufficient and not enough to study its main characteristics and aesthetic value.I think grasping main characteristics of"Wenqi",exploring its essence,and highlighting the spirit of its culture from the perspective of the philosophy of life or sense of life.In order to better grasp the essence of"Wenqi",it is necessary to sort out and analyse its sources.This thesis attempts to study main characteristics of its by researching the spirit of writers and works of "the spirit of life"comprehensively.In regard to the study of its aesthetic value,previous studies focused too much on its pure research,could not put it on the current cultural context.This paper base on the current status of the development of Chinese literature,discuss from literary creation and appreciation of literature criticism,the main character of writers,and hope to draw on the results of the significance and value for the construction of contemporary literary theory with the Enlightenment.This thesis is divided into three sections.The first part focuses on exploring the generation of"Wenqi":how to enter the field of literary and artistic fields from philosophical aspects of "Qi"and explaining social factors of"Wenqi"generated.The second part stressfull analyses main characteristics of "Wenqi" from the aspects of authors and works in order to hold its essence from the comprehensive and in-depth study.The third part demonstrates its significance and value of contemporary aesthetics from the literary and artistic creation,literary and art criticism, creative accomplishment of the main character.
