As we all know that most of the scholars consider that the Shangdai"verb to deseribe"are inexistent or no being mature stage. However, there are a lot of records about them and generally the suffixes of these verb to deseribe are"~ka"(including"~yaka""~raka",such as"ohoroka,sayaka,sizuka,kazayaka,sumiyaka,azaraka,yaharaka"and so on"~ka"(including"~yaka""~raka"). Therefore, it is necessary to trace back to the stage when the verb to deseribe form, i.e.Shangdai, for summarizing the basic characters of the"verb to deseribe "The present thesis, based on the study of the dictionary"Classify age Japanese dictionary"(Shangdai edited)which is useful/helpful for Shangdai lexicon, and the literatures works ( giving priority to"Japanesesyoki","manyousyuu")as basic materials, extracts relavant describal verbs. taking"~ka""~yaka"and"~raka"patterns as center, this thesis investigates Shangdai describable verbs from their forms. through the investigation, we may clarify the characteristics of describable verbs' original shapes.Paper structure:1. Mainly summarize the forward research of both verbal stem and its configuration of stative verb, thereby coming up with ideas, specifying the research purpose.2. Categorize stative verb stem by ~ka, ~yaka and ~raka with closer scrutiny and analysis.3. Firstly, effectively analysis yaka morpheme raka in grammatical function. Secondly, study and compare each combining form according to parts of speech.4. Sum up at the base of the fore part.
