Of the foreign students studying Chinese in China at present, Korean students who come from the Sinogram civilization circle make up the great majority. However, seldom Chinese teachers for foreigners know Korean, which induces the phenomenon of relatively low teaching efficiency. To my opinion, the present Chinese-teaching system for foreigners doesn't make good use of the characteristics that Koreans know Chinese characters. On the basis of the characteristics that Koreans know Chinese characters, the improvement of Chinese-teaching efficiency for Koreans is researched in this dissertation. To my opinion, the relatively low efficiency of the present Chinese-teaching academia for foreigners is due to the misleading of the Chinese theory of word as the basic unit after /Ma Shi Wen Tong/. Many people claim that Sinogram is the stumbling block for studying Chinese, but actually the teaching method of word as the basic unit is the real obstacle.Firstly, this dissertation starts from Xu Tongqiang and Pan Wenguo's renewed speculation of word as the basic unit, and then particularly examines the germination of the theory and teaching of Sinogram as the basic unit. In addition, the traditional 'incorporate teaching of spoken and written language' and Zhang Pengpeng et al's 'separate teaching of spoken and written language' are reconsidered. On the basis of the reconsideration, it is verified that the characteristics of Korean words written in Sinogram come from the characteristics of the Sinogram itself. The theory that learning and teaching Chinese should start from Sinograms is emphasized. According to the theory of Sinogram as the basic unit, a teaching method called vocabulary cross is further proposed. This teaching method not only utilizes the characteristics of Sinogram itself, but also takes into account of Koreans' knowledge of Sinogram. At the same time, this teaching method also allows for the practical problem that Chinese teachers for foreigners don't know Korean nowadays, effectively overcoming the limitation of separate teaching of spoken and written language.
