The study of China's English-language media at the macro level for - or the study of the status quo of English media, or linked with the national image of the external publicity research, and strategic analysis - has been unable to meet the growing importance of cross-cultural communication in today's China. More attention in this field should be on the center of research-- the information itself.Studies of media information mostly focus on content analysis, quantitative rather than qualitative. Therefore, it is necessary for the spread of China's English language news and information media of discourse studies. Narrative research is an effective method of study of news discourse. Narrative is an interdisciplinary research method, and its introduction to discourse analysis of press time did not last long, mainly the structure of the text for the news analysis. In addition the analysis of literary texts through the perspective of rhetoric and so on, is also applicable to the news narrative.This article will take China Daily, a national issued English-language newspaper positioning on foreign nationals in China as a representative of China's English-language media. The analysis will conclude the narrative structure, narrative point of view, elements such as narrative rhetoric, trying to sum up their external dissemination of information inherent in the law.There are highly targeted, but also foreign news reports in English skills to enhance effective communication has a certain practical value, so that the effect of the external dissemination of information more ideal.
