With the rapid development of technology in the big data era,the Internet is no longer exclusively enjoyed by elite. It gradually becomes a common tool that people use in their daily life.Since 1990,literature started to make use of the Internet, thus cyber literature is established. In 1988,a writer from Taiwan named Zhiheng Cai(as known as “Ruffian Cai”)became famous for his school-days love novel “The Frist Intimate Contact “.The novel quickly caught people's eyes since the first series published online, and it even gained attention from some scholars.Chinese cyber literature is continuing to grow since then. Moreover, cyber literature, especially fantasy fictions, becomes more popular in foreign countries, including not only Southeast countries where cultural products are comparably in shortage, but also South Korea,Japan and even the United States. As a special cultural form in cyber literature under the highly developed internet environment, its widespread popularity in oversea countries does not imply that it will overturn or replace the traditional literature, but it guides and cultivates the habits of domestic and oversea readers.Fortunately, the government supports cyber literature and issues different policies to better assist the publicize of this cultural form, especially fantasy fictions and related topics. In this paper,we use a translation website Wuxia World as an example to analyze the current condition of Chinese cyber literature. From literature translation scripts, website settings, readers' comments and other important elements to examine the cyber literature's narratives and the cross-cultural communication process in cyber literature. Moreover,we attempt to understanding how readers react and build connections to Asian culture, and how the narratives in cyber literature differ from or similar to tradition literature in order to fully interpret the communication between readers from different cultures or countries.Using the Wuxia World website as a research platform and North America to represent foreign areas,we can observe the common cultural traits that are shared by China and North American readers. It also provides a conjunct meaning for all the readers of cyber literature in despite of different races. On the one hand, the differences between oriental cultures and western cultures attract readers to get to know another culture, while it imposes obstacles for oversea readers to fully understand it.In the process of cultural diffusion,we can see that cyber literature is actively constructing a national image and spreading national strength. In the process of making Chinese culture "going out",cyber literature is playing an significantrole that traditional cultural activities cannot perform. Therefore, even if it is difficult for cyber literature to become a classic, its positive and meaningful supplements in the external spread of Chinese culture are tremendous. At the same time, during the process of raising awareness about cyber literature,it is also affected by the commercialized and marketized society. The writing style of cyber literature demonstrates an obvious pattern of routines, which is prone to make readers lose interests and get bored in the long run.It is also a problem for writers in cyber literature to be aware of.
