Music as culture, reflects a nation's national spirit, the concept of patterns, behaviors and ways of thinking and other general features. Indian classical music which is a part of India's traditional culture and conveys the entire Indian's tradition is an important part of culture.Education is an important means of cultural heritage, the cultural function of education is the transmission and preservation of cultural. Music culture needs music education passed. Indian classical music reflects the cultural tradition of Indian music, and forming a unique feature of Indian music education. This unique music education mode makes Indian classical music in a long period of time, not only have not been assimilated, but be preserved at under extremely difficult conditions, understanding their heritage and educational development of our country folk music and cultural heritage has a positive reference.The writer wants to research and express the heritage of the Indian classical music tradition and the situation when modern school education system was set up, digging characteristics of the Indian classical music, the features of its heritage and how the preservation developed after it went though the tradition and modern periods. The most the writer wants to say is that education includes the education in society and education at school. Before and after the modern school system was set up and the Indian classical music tradition as well as the modern education system, the heritage of the society education which totally independents from the school education mean the education in society. While the real education means an education that is organized by a nation whit plans, orders, and purposes.This article is divided into four chapters, Chapter I sets out the origin of Indian classical music, history and basic features, focusing on description of the Indian classical music and religious relationship between India and the importance of Indian classical music in people's life. Chapter II introducing classical music of India's ancient system of apprenticeship tradition, combing their traditional transmission mode characteristics five aspects . Chapter III use "comparative" approach , to compare the school education with the social music tradition and draw a conclusion that India School Education play a vital role. Chapter IV as an ending of this essay , sum up the India classical music preserve integrity and heritage's good experience in order to inspirit our country.In this paper, writer expresses itself from the perspective of cultural heritage to education study the Indian classical music tradition. It is a certain degree of innovation.
