China has explored the way of development with each passing day since the new century came. During the high-speed development process, China has gradually emerged from the closed-door state of isolation and has slowly integrated into the surging tide of globalization. Recent years, with the rapid development of information technology, economic globalization has been accelerating. Meanwhile, the society has put forward ever-increasing demands on people's overall quality. China's higher education has started to transform in a popular style, and the education reform promoting quality education as the main content has been widespread in the country.China has advocated the art-oriented education to the college students since 1990s. Dance education, as one part of quality education, has come into the university classroom, and comforted many people who care about dance education. What is more, everyone, who involves in the public dance education in the universities, is thinking about how to make best use of the dance education in the quality education.The development of our country's dance education has experienced two stages. The first one is professional dance education, including normal dance education, has formed a set of fairly standard teaching systems, which involve both the textbooks and the guidelines, even refer to the teaching process. The second is the civil dance quality education, which the public dance education belongs to. The public dance education is also the important part of the civil dance education. In order to promote the development of dance quality education smoothly, some scientific and complete teaching systems, with their own characteristics, are needed more in this new field.This article puts stress on questionnaire surveys larding with the form of discussions and interviews. It compares and studies the teaching systems between the professional dance education and the public dance education of common universities, hoping to sum up some questions of the public dance education and put forth some specific measures to improve the development of dance education. At the same time, it can provide some beneficial reference to promote the healthy development of the public dance education in the universities.
