With our country's rapid economic development, there are more foreign exchanges, thus, more requirements are needed for foreign talents. For foreign language graduates, only mastering the language knowledge and language skills have been far from enough, beyond that, having good interpersonal skills and communication skills can actually meet the needs of social development. Therefore, as a Japanese teacher, it is essential to learn a foreign language teaching and research according to the current actual situation in society and try to apply to their classroom teaching. Among many foreign language teaching methods, the communicative approach is a teaching methods system aimed at interpersonal skills training, so it just adapted to the needs of the current social development. Therefore, this article is to examine questions of Japanese sentence pattern learning in the basic stages in terms of communicative approach.The main research object is the issue of Japanese sentences pattern learning in the early stage. The first part has a review on the emergence and development of sentence teaching and a brief introduction about the theory of teaching-related sentence and research; the second part states the emergence and development of sentence teaching in detail, meanwhile clarifies the role of the pattern of teaching in the basic teaching stage, outlines the background of communicative approach, its theoretical basis and principles of teaching; For the third part, analyzing the method of pattern drills with theory and practice combined, evaluating the teaching of the Japanese sentence, introducing the current teaching of communicative approach in Japanese sentence in the basic stage combined with the actual; the fourth part is survey analysis on the Japanese sentence teaching and practice in the basic stage, analyzing statues of Japanese sentence Teaching and a number of existing problems in terms of interest in learning, the teaching patterns and drilling methods, the methods of practice patterns and homework forms these three aspects. Clarify how to apply communicative approach to the teaching of Japanese sentences according to the results of the survey data. Finally, some concluding remarks of this article on the theory and analysis of the surveys are summarized.
