Sino-japanese English Education A Comparative Study

With China's entry into WTO and internationalization of Economy and Culture, the exchange between China and other foreign countries becomes more and more frequent. The students with specialized knowledge and communicative competence in English stand higher in the society's favor. Meanwhile, the Global Financial Crisis broke out so that the undergraduates face big pressure of employment. The high education is confronted with a large challenge, so is the college English education. We should take in and learn the experience from developed countries after the analysis of the current situation. Japan is our neighboring country and has historical origins with our country. So Japan is the best choice for us. Therefore, to start the comparative research on the current situation of college English education from the historical course of college English education between Japan and China and then we discover the advantages and disadvantages It will improve our country's college English education research, and it also has the important meaning for guiding the practices of college English education.This article mainly contains following several contents: First it outlined the development process of college English education in Japan and China. Then we explore from teaching purposes and teaching methods to teaching staffs etc. on college English education between Japan and China. It obtained the beneficial enlightenment from the analysis, and proposed the corresponding countermeasure to develop our college English education. Finally this article summarized the main conclusion, and has given the questions which wait for further solving.
