Prototype theory runs through the thinking of Jung's life course. At different stages of his theory career, Jung explains prototype theory differently, and the content of his prototype theory becomes more plentiful. The meaning of Jung's prototype theory is based on the collective unconscious, and thus establishes a theoretical perspective of the macro-culture. In the construction of Jung's aesthetic theory, the prototype theory is the core part. Although the prototype in the specific art practice has different performance at different times, and demonstrates a certain degree of variability, the significance of the metadata content of the prototype is its collective nature, and constitutes the universality of its basic characteristics. This also constitutes the most prominent cultural matrix of the prototype. In the process of the development of cultural globalization, the prototype theory appears its cultural value. In the process of modernization, studying on prototype theory from cultural vision is helpful for us to think about the aesthetic and social problems.Based on the existing fruit, this paper explains Jung's prototype theory systematically from the vision of culture. This paper not only explains the theoretical origin, but also analyses the internal theory, and explain its features, categories, and cultural connotation, function and find the characteristic of modern culture, and then to analyze the impact which it plays on modern literary thought. By using inductive and deductive approach, this paper grips Jung's works to analyses his prototype theory deeply from the vision of cultural criticism.
