In Vocational Students' Mental Health Establishment, Self-rating Scale "

As a special group, medium vocational students who are in adolescence are under the pressure of academic and employment. And more pressure is born than peers. Generally, they are not willing to exchange ideas with their teachers and parents. Meanwhile, they don't know how to ease negative emotion and solve the problem. Therefore, the condition of the medium vocational students'mental health is worried. Making a general survey of the existing mental health scale at home and abroad, it is found only are there scales for middle school students but not for medium vocational students specially. Although medium vocational students are similar in age with middle school students, there are certain differences between them. So, a series of scales of medium vocational students'mental health are self-compiled in this study which in order to carry on better research about the problem of medium vocational students'mental health.Based on the literature research and theory, a scale for the medium vocational students'mental health specially is compiled in this paper through the open-ended questionnaires survey and interview of the medium vocational students and teachers, which also combined with the practical situation of the medium vocational school education and the common mental problems of the medium vocational students. And the reference for the further survey and intervene of the medium vocational students'mental health is provided in this paper. The results are as follows:1. According to the literature research and open-ended questionnaires survey, the standard of the medium vocational students'mental health is raised. Based on this, four components are confirmed, there are: emotion; human relationship; learning and goals; adaptive.2. As an indicator of the scale, the value of split-half reliability is 0.930 which indicates that the scale has good internal consistency.3. The validity of the scale is tested from construct validity; criterion validity and content validity. According to factor analysis and related results between the total score of each subscale and the score of total scale, the construct validity of this scale is proved well. In addition, the coefficient of correlation with SCL-90 is 0.679 (P<0.01,N=157) and 0.726 with MSSMHS (P<0.01, N=111) which shows that this scale has good criterion validity. The relevant point between scores of subscales and total score is at the range of 0.715-0.895, which are all higher than 0.715 and indicating that the content validity of this scale is well.
