Part I is the necessity of developing school-based curriculum from the angles of policies and curriculum reforms. Part II is the survey of the present situation at home and abroad as well as the connotation, characteristics, main conditions and procedure of school-based curriculum. Meanwhile, it also explains the significance of developing school-based curriculum. Part III is the concept and significance of pottery teaching. Part IV is the scheme of developing pottery curriculum in our school. Part V is the implement and effects of pottery curriculum. Besides, some thinking is raised The last part deals with the role that school-based curriculum is playing in our school, which can't be substituted by nation-based and area-based curricula. The curriculum arouses the enthusiasm of the headmasters and teachers to the fullest and also helps cultivate students' personalities, making our school more distinguished and students more skilled.
