"Thinking and doing"are the core subject of this project and developing the school-based curriculum is the practical path. This study tries to construct an open curriculum which can not only work according to the teaching model but also develop extra courses at the same time in the process of teaching. In order to achieve this goal, in the research process, the author tries to well understand and absorb all kinds of teaching theories and methods; tap the special function, value and significance of ceramics from multiple angles, aiming to endow a new teaching meaning by constructing the teaching platform of ceramics.This project is established in the excellent educational and teaching resource, rich teaching sediment as well as the positive and meaningful explorative experience which has been collected in aspects of constructing and developing school-based curriculums of Qing Dao No.2 Middle School, doing up the theory, thoughts and practical strategies of school-based ceramics. This project adopts the research model of one hand practicing and the other studying and develops the project by experiment, questionnaire, document indexing, question analysis, trial and feedback in classroom, expert consultation, academic discussion and teaching case analysis and so on. Try to make the research achievement produced from teaching practice, serve the teaching practice and checked by the teaching practice. And integrate the latest perspective on curriculum, school-based curriculum theory and constructivism as well as the theory of multiple intelligences into ceramics teaching.The curriculum guideline in this project was designed according to the principle of openness. And the teaching plans and contents are flexible in order to meet the requirement of diversified developments of students and teaching interactions. Finally, complete the project corporately by teachers, students and teaching. The teaching content and implementation are designed according to the period requirement of present regular senior schools; design and develop the subject logic and cognitive rules of students eclectic.Ceramics is a curriculum which can inspire the students'potential endlessly. Practice has proved that it has significance in developing students'torso flexibility; balance the moods; tap spatial intellectual quality; develop creative ability and harmonize and deal with interpersonal relationships. In today's China, under the teaching conditions of general Senior High schools, among the practical and operational courses, ceramics has irreplaceable traits in effective educating, feasibility of operation and outstanding national culture. It starts to develop students'hand-on ability, imaginative ability and creative ability from mud making. In the process of completing a ceramics work, the students use their own hands to create and produce, although, the teacher may give guide and help, the students are centers during the process. Oberviously, this kind of experience is hard to find in other subjects. So, only when you don't consider it limited to a signal subject can you add more meanings and connotations to ceramics.Center on"thinking and doing"tightly, and illustrate the present situation and development of ceramics from a special perspective. Design more flexible content to differ from the traditional teaching model. And integrate more teaching theories into the process of teaching ceramics, forming the creative idea of this project.
