Ivan Turgenev is one of the most important writers in Russia even the Europe during the nineteenth-century. Under the conditions of Special social context of time before and after the abolition of serfdom in Russia , Turgenev in his works shaped a series of social figures such as Lotine, Bazarov, Yisarov and so on, trying to find the heroes who can really change the lagging reality in Russia. The females did not disappear under the image of the glorious male protagonist ,but behind the heroes are as brilliant as them. Their emerging Have even added some more colors in the Turgenev's literary art gallery .Even today, it is still exciting for thousands of readers that whether Asha ,Lisa or Gemma and Yelena.This paper ,on the basis of reading the text intensively, combining with the background of social reality, by the bie, che, du's artistic thought and theory ,attempts to have a comprehensive analysis on the female image and the reason why Turgenev shaped and how expressed them.This article is divided into six parts: The Preface Is to introduce the significance of this topic ,domestic and foreign research thesis, as well as the approach to study. Chapter I summarizes the types of the female image in accordance with the works by Turgenev created . Chapter II focused on analysis of the types of female images Turgenev created . Chapter III briefly stated why Turgenev created the image of the women image. Chapter IV elaborates how Turgenev in his work created the image of women by the way of artistic expression. The conclusion is foundation on the whole context, Stated objectively the position of the female image in his works and literary and social significance of the female images Turgenev created for .
