It is widely recognized that Han characters originated from China. Today the Han characters are used in Japanese as well.Therefore, no matter in Chinese or Japanese, Han characters are playing an important role. Because both China and Japan had simplified Han characters, the forms had changed drastically, which making impact on the Han characters'radicals.This literature will pick out the typical ones from ancient dictionaries of China and Japan, and conduct research on the radicals' differences between Han characters used in Chinese and Japanese.Specifically speaking, the following research methodology will be adopted. First, picking out all the radicals from the typical Chinese ancient dictionaries, and then comparing them from the ones found in Japanese ancient dictionaries. Putting the result into detailed table, by which analyzing the differences and leading to the conclusion.There are three parts of this literature. The first part introduces the previous researches including what is radical, the number of radicals and the order in the ancient dictionaries.The second part is the core of the literature.After the introduction of the ancient Chinese and Japanese dictionaries used in this literature, the radicals are compared and the comparison data are analyzed and explained in detail.The third part is the conclusion of the result of analysis...
