In recent years, as industrialization and urbanization of our country is accelerating, more and more land are requisitioned in peri-urban areas to meet the growing demand for land as urban develops. The expropriation of a large quantity of land resources, especially cultivated land resources is bound to create a new group- landless peasant. However, the land is extraordinarily significant for them. It is not only the fundament of sustenance for farmers, but also carries employment, pension and other multiple support functions. Expropriation of land to farmers brings direct economic losses. When they have no land to provide them income as well as no other economic resources, their life would mess up, which leads to their disappointment and dissatisfaction to our government. In other words, it has caused political identity problem. Therefore, the proper settlement of landless peasants'problems can be directly related to the social stability, building a moderately prosperous society and socialist harmonious society. The paper is divided into five parts:The first part elaborates the reason why I choose the topic, the purpose, the significance, the current situation and the methods of the research; the second part outlines the related concepts and theories of political identity; the third part is the empirical investigation, which introduces the peasants'current life situation of the Q village in R city. In order to present the impact of expropriation upon landless peasants'political identity, I did empirical research from before the land acquisition stage, the land acquisition phase and after the land acquisition stage. The fourth part analyzes the impact factors of landless peasants'political identity, which cover benefit identity factors, institutional identity factors and authoritative identity factors; the fifth part attempts to find solutions for enhancing the political identity of landless peasants based upon the three factors stated above. At present, great deals of scholars have studied landless peasants'problems from various aspects. While the innovation of my paper is to choose landless peasants'political identity as the research object and study the situation of their political identity from the psychological point of view, which break the tradition of paying; too much attention to merely material damage and institutional factors. Taking improving peasants'confidence and trust to government as the starting point contributes to solve a series of landless peasants'problems fundamentally arising from expropriation.
