Gender Perspective Rural Women's Political Participation

Women's development level is an important indicator of social development,which also can measure the degree of social progress.As more than half of the total rural population, rural women, their level of development will affect the level of development in rural areas. As a political subject which can not be ignored, the situation of rural women's political participation will affect their transformation to modern citizens and the development of the China's political democratization and political modernization.With the development of the urbanization,industrialization and modernization, the young man labor force are shifting out from the rural areas in the large scale.In the situation, the rural women will play more and mora important role in the construction of the countryside and the development of the agriculture.But because of the traditional ideas and the restriction of the realistic developing conditions,the development of the rural women are suffering many obstacles,especially on the political participation,the rural women are in the poorer situation.This essay mainly uses the perspective of the Gender to analyse the rural women'political participation.And this essay maintains that in China'traditional rural Society,there is a hidden Social exclusion system,which is constructed by the mutual effects of the traditional gender roles, traditional gender culture and traditional social gender structure.The existence of the hidden Social exclusion system makes the rural women suffer the political exclusion in varying degrees and leads mutual construction of the implicit social exclusion system.The state leads to some issues in the rural women'political participation,which can not make the rural women protect their own interests fully and promote their own development by the equal political participation,and thus hinder the improvement and development of grassroots democracy.Paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter introduces the research background of rural women's political participation and domestic research situation. The second chapter describes the gender, social exclusion, political participation and political exclusion, the connotation of the concepts and relationship, and on this basis, an analytical framework is proposed. The third chapter is the research of the situation of rural women's political participation in the part of Shandong Province, and summarizes the empirical investigation of the characteristics of rural women's political participation. From the perspective of gender, chapter IV presents an implicit social exclusion system and its internal mechanism,which affects the political participation of rural women. Based on these studies, from a gender perspective, chapter V provides how to improve the situation of rural women's political participation in specific policies and countermeasures.
