What is happiness and how to obtain happiness are not only the topics which the theorists unremittingly explore since the ancient time, but also the major realistic problems that every one should faces up and considers in real life. As a thinker and revolutionist who take historic development and real social life as the basis, Marx was determined to constantly devote to common happiness of human beings and work with unfailing assiduity from the youth. Historical Materialism established by Marx and Engel reveals the objective laws and inherent motivation of the development of human history, and provides instructive scientific theory for social history development and individual future life. From this sense, this theory can also be defined as the theory that pursues and realizes human happiness, which marked the establishment of Marx's outlook on happiness. After the failure of the European revolutions in 1848, Marx took deep researches of the grant and complex organism of capital society from the critics of political economics, laying bare the secret of how the bourgeoisie exploit the proletariat , showing the phenomena of materialization and alienation in social life when the capital logic became the dominant logic of society and pointing out that the downfall of European capitalism is the self-denial after it developed a long period and it is the inevitable path to eradicate capitalist practices in order to realize the real happiness. However, communism, as an ultimate probability, can bring about the happiness of mankind under the condition of constant development and innovation.Marxs outlook on happiness is not the personal dream of happiness on the basis of pure fiction and beautification of the current social life, not the simple imagination and description of ultimate state of happy life, not even the heaven constructed in theory field and inner (mental) world. On the contrary, Marxs outlook on happiness is the holistic description and scientific analysis of modern social life, on the basis of which it shows clearly the reality of unhappiness and the reasons and finally finds out the future development direction of human history and the realistic road to achieve happiness. In the view of the above-mentioned research understanding, I think it is possible to consider Marx's thoughts as his outlook on happiness to be systemically understood and logically re-constructed. Marx once said:"Happiness is not a certain ideal to which the reality should corresponds, but rather scientific theoretical exploration and realistic social practices."In my opinion, as long as mankind has not yet to divorce from the second major social stage characterized by"independence of human beings based on dependence on materials", Marx's outlook on happiness will not become out-dated. It is still the scientific theory full of vigor and vitality.
