This paper analyzes the relationship between those split countries such as East and West Germany, South and North Korea, which appeared during the period of the struggle for hegemony between America and the Soviet Union after World War II. This paper also compares the resemblance of the historical reasons for the division of Germany and Korea through the analysis of internal and external elements for the reunification of Germany, its achievements and follow-up questions. Korean War was Korean people’s attempt to accomplish the reunification of their own country. However, it failed. So under such circumstance, Korea wants to use the experience of Germany to resolve his own problem and fulfill the duty. The paper points out that the reunification of Korea would be more difficult comparing with the reunification of Germany due to the complex international relations and the South and North Korea’s internal political, economical and social problems and national feelings. But the reunification of the South and North Korea will gradually, progressively and peacefully be achieved.
