On The Government 's Responsibility Of Food Safety Supervision

Food safety incidents happened frequently in recent years and the frequency is bigger than the past decades. Food safety incidents not only destroy the health of people and family, also caused terrible effects on Chinese food industry. More and more people doubt food industry. What’s more, the food safety events directly led to the loss of government credibility. Government as the protector of the public safety, the supervisor citizen trust,bear inescapable duty for food safety regulatory.This paper use semantic analysis, the research methods of comparative analysis and empirical analysis, etc. From the angle of administrative law and economic law, I propose the question, analysis question, comparative analysis and find the answer finally.Through the analysis of the present situation of the government food safety supervision in our country and the existing problems, referring the useful experience of foreign government supervision of food safety, I obtains the government duty of food safety supervision: First is the duty of government legislation. Improve the food safety regulatory laws and regulations, food safety supervision and prevention of related standard system,etc.Second is the duty of government law enforcement. Improve the government supervision department, supervision and law enforcement awareness; improve the technology of food safety inspection; put the duty of government improper supervision into effect. Last is the duty of government reparation.Civil resignation system proposed in this paper is one of the highlights in the modifying draft of food safety law proposed in 2014. And government reparation system is also a hot topic in research. I wish the paper which keep with the times is progressive could benefit to Chinese food safety supervision system.
