Fairness and justice are important goals we human society pursue, but human perception of fairness and justice vary at different stage of the society. Theory of fairness and justice in contemporary market socialism was raised by left wring theorists who were puzzled to revulsion of 1989 and discontented to existing capitalist system. As a part of socialism theoretical system, Fairness and justice in contemporary market socialism sticks to the basic principles of Marx Engels fairness and justice thought, at the same time it absorb positive aspects from new liberal Rawls fairness and justice thought, it is trying to find a method which implement fairness and justice before the Communist society the social fairness and justice to implement the road.This paper firstly reviews the theoretical origin and background for fairness and justice thought in contemporary market socialism, secondly this paper summarizes the main content of the fairness and justice thought, This paper also concludes and analyzes the mode to achieve fairness and justice. At last on the basis of above discussion, the paper does an assessment to fairness and justice in contemporary market socialism. Fairness and justice is an important requirement for China current construction of socialist harmonious society. The theory of contemporary market socialism and theories of socialism with Chinese characteristics have the same generation background, Exploring the fairness and justice thought in the contemporary market socialism theory for the construction of socialist harmonious society in our country, and the construction of the socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics has certain theoretical and practical significance.
