In the contemporary world, both developed countries and developing countries, the ecological problem has become the common concerns and problems that must be. Increasingly serious ecological environment problems, not only make less harmony between man and nature, but also to make between people, between people and society. Sixties and seventies in the 20th century has gradually rise and development of ecological socialism, to rethink the human relations with the natural world around him, especially as part of a human rather than masters play the proper role, thus to build a kind of can make humans can survive for long on the earth’s social, economic, political, and cultural. Ecological socialism also discusses the root causes of ecological crisis, and the ways to eliminate human production difficulties, reveals the capitalist system and the ecological crisis has inevitable contact, think to solve ecological crisis must be combined with socialism, thus the conception of ecological socialism ideal solution. Ecological theory of socialism from germination to maturity only after decades of development history, there may be a lot of places not perfect, but it’s on the relevant theories of China and the world have the significance of the socialist countries.The first part of this paper from the background of ecological socialism rise, discusses the theoretical basis of ecological socialism, the development of the ecological socialism is diyided into three stages. On this basis summarizes the basic theory of ecological socialism, and comparative analyses the new changes after 90s. The focus of this article is to explore the ecological socialism enlightenment to China. The third part of the paper in the awareness of the positive impact on the ecological socialism and deficiency, dig out the ecological socialism enlightenment to China, from insist on sustainable development strategy, improve the socialist democratic politics, advocating moderate consumption concept and set up the ecological environmental protection consciousness shows four aspects the enlightenment function of ecological socialism in our country.Based on the formation and development of ecological socialism, and the new change, evaluation and revelation to China as the research object, to analyze the academic research about this problem, used the universality and particularity, contact view and development view of combining the Marxist research methods, and provide comprehensive analysis and study on this question. The ultimate goal of this paper is to draw lessons from the essence of ecological socialism to better promote the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
