Study On New Era Of China' Eco-political Construction

With the worldwide increasing levels of economic development, global ecologicalcrisis has been expanding widely and people's awareness of the ecological environmenthas deepened. People know that environmental problems are not only economic problem,but also political issue. No matter under the theory of government intervention whichemphasize the economic development, or in resolving the ecological crisis by politicalmeans, both of them reflects the close relationship between the ecological environmentand politics.The origin and development of eco-political construction with Chinese characteristicshas a special background. Since reform and opening up, we have got tremendousachievements in economy, but economic development was largely from the use ofresources and the environment. Economic development brought about by less seriousecological damage to the environment, while relying on the moral, scientific andtechnological means, and economic planning to solve the current ecological crisis hasbeen inadequate. The intervention of political power needs to be addressed. Based on theperspective of political science and ecology, the writer focused on the discussion ofimproving ecological and political construction. First of all, in the study of the theory ofecological politics, we defined the definition of the ecological crisis and ecological politics,clarified the base of the construction of ecological politicas. Secondly, we introducedsimply for the current need of eco-political construction, on the basis of the achievementof the eco-political construction, this paper proposed that the ecological politics' problemsstill exist and affect the use of eco-political solution to the ecological problems. Finally,the article presented the suggestions for the development of ecological politics, includingstrengthen the government's eco-responsibility, improve performance evaluation systemand the green GDP accounting system, the ecological environment management system,and various special policies and regulations, increase Public participation and strengtheninternational political cooperation. Constructing our ecological politics in this new era andestablishing the suitable eco-political development model to solve our ecological problemsare important for achieving sustainable development.
