Research On Community Management In The Process Of New Urbanization

With fast promotion of our new urbanization and deepening reform of social management system, the community has shown its obvious function and status as the most basic unit. Effective operation of community management displays a significant function in promoting innovation and reform of social management and enhancing basic governance. In new era, how the community management operates has become a very important factor to evaluate the governance ability of the present government. With constant promotion of new urbanization, our community displays multi development situations. There are numerous problems like frequent immigration between urban and rural area, resettlement after removal, social security of people without farmland, and comprehensive management of social security. All these problems generate new and higher requirements for social management work in the new era. Community management work in new era is confronted with new challenges and opportunities.On basis of carefully researching relevant literatures and materials about new urbanization and community management, this thesis took Yunnan Province as an example to carry out in-depth research of dilemmas in community management during the process of our new urbanization by combining relevant subject theories of public management, keeping based on our present basic national conditions, consulting relevant international and domestic research outcomes, looking up literatures and conducting on-site and questionnaire investigation. This thesis consists of four parts. The first part discusses relevant concepts of new urbanization and community management. The second part introduces present situation of community management of Yiliang County during the the process of new urbanization. The third part analyzes dilemmas of community management in the process of new urbanization and the reasons for dilemmas. The fourth part discusses detailed countermeasures and suggestions for enhancing community management during the process of our new urbanization.
