Study On The Needs Level And Community Care Of The Old People In Cities And Towns

Facing the global population aging trend, both the increasing of aged population and the enlarging of the aged population comparison are inevitable trends, which heads into an increasingly tight problem of providing for the aged. People’s ideological change in modern times, to some extent, also impacts the traditional pattern of old-age. On the one hand, lots of children are in need of getting the privacy they want, so they would like not to live with their parents. On the other hand, many parents want their own space so not choosing to live with the children. It appears this group of people——the old people who live alone. The old people who live alone are considered as a specific group, and they usually have their special requirements. Though the government is pursuing efforts to promote the services for the elderly, it is so slowly in the process of development. Thus, studying the problem of taking care of the old people who live alone in the community, for these old people to live a stable and happy life and promote the development of community care, is really of great necessity.This article makes use of relative material and documents in the school library, summarizes and organizes the interview with the old people who live alone and related staff, as well as proceeds certain field trips, uses sociology theories and Maslow’s levels of demand, analyzing the need of home aged-care and the status of the people in community. I find it exists in the following features: the short slab in economic support, the imperfect in health care, the laggard in social participation in care and the lack of professional guidance in inner feeling. According to the cares above, I would like to make the following suggestions: realizing the cooperation of governments and businesses, ensuring the support of welfare fund, the cooperation of governments and schools, bringing in the support of professionals, the cooperation of governments and society, deepening the support of socialization belief; combining community hospitals, providing convenient and efficient medial and health services, combining social families, providing safe and comfortable places for day care, combining community volunteers, providing new and professional interactive activities creative.
