A Study Of Government Functions In American Community Governance

Community governance is a comprehensive, systematic and huge project. The government plays an irreplaceable role in community governance. The theory and practice of community governance in the United States is very rich. Under the guidance of the government, the characteristic of this kind of community governance pattern is multi subject participation. This model not only can improve the administrative efficiency of the government in the community, reduce the burden of government, but also can fully express the public opinion and realize the public interest of the community residents. Therefore, on the basis of the theory of community governance and government functions, combing the pattern of community governance, the status of different subjects in community governance, and the principles of community governance, etc. Analysis of the development process of the transformation of government functions, the content and the way of government functions in the community governance. Through the analysis, we draw the useful experience of the government function in the American community governance. We also found some problems in the development process. And then we proposed some suggestions for the transformation of government functions and the development of community construction.
