Nowadays, corruption has become a global social problem, which severely affected the economic development, political stability and social development process of countries around the globe. Due to distrust and dissatisfaction of the government in power, international anti-corruption movement has sprung up, and non-governmental organizations are at the core of the movement. At present, as an important international force, international non-governmental organizations, among which Transparency International is one of the best, play an increasingly important role in anti-corruption practices.Since 1993 when Transparency International was founded, as the largest anti-corruption international non-governmental organization in the world, it has made great achievements in promoting the process of international anti-corruption and helping countries and regions construct a clean and honest government. Transparency International uses multi-dimensional approaches to fight corruption. It makes efforts to conduct propaganda, promote research, publish relevant reports, use anti-corruption tools like CPI and BPI, and cooperate with countries and international organizations. It is of great significance to study the role and functions of Transparent international in the process of fighting corruption. The study could help us draw international anti-corruption experience from a comparatively new perspective and explore the establishment of complete and efficient anti-corruption mechanisms in China. However, the anti-corruption activities of Transparency International have been criticized a lot by scholars and experts in this field. China needs to dialectically draw experience from this organization and take more solid actions to construct National Integrity System, strengthen international cooperation against corruption and enhance the quality of cadres.
