Social demand is a very important category in Marx n Capital? According to Marx's theory, social demand on one hand means the consumption needs of the products, which is related with the productivity of a certain society. On the other hand, social demand in nature is determined by the relation of different classes and their economic status. That is to say, the category of social demand embodies the unity of opposites of productive forces and production relations. In n Capital? Marx use the method of from abstract to concrete deeply studied the category, especially it nature, it manifestation and it influence on the production of market value and value transition in the commodity economy in the capitalist economy. Without the understanding of this category, one will not understand those important theories in n Capital? not to say the law and nature of capitalist production and the historical necessity of socialism. Moreover, Marx study of social demand in commodity production is a guidance of the construction of socialist commodity economy. Such an important category is long been neglected by the researchers of scientific socialism. So in this thesis, the author tried to study the nature, the historic development and the theoretical value of social demand in n Capital? The thesis at last discussed the practical value of the category in the construction of socialism and hope it will have some help to nowadays economic development.
