Study On Development Strategy Of Road Traffic In 2000-2020 In Gansu Province

This article, via analysis of the nature, features of the Province抯 highway traffic and its role in productive forces pattern and local economic connection, combined with its relationship with passenger & freight flow formation and movement, based on implementation of chronicle summary, current analysis and future projection for Gansu highway traffic development, also centered on highway traffic demand under the national economy, makes a systematic analysis and study toward the Province highway network target and grade structure, highway passenger & freight transport volume, vehicles number and its constitution, transport service facilities and transport organization and management as well. It seeks the direction, mode and target of systematic development, from the gap of system抯 harmony, and reasonable channels and guiding philosophy of achieving the target as well. Via strategic planning, such co-related content in the traffic as man, vehicle, road and environment are combined into an united situation for further research. Thus, some scientific measures for optimizing road passing capacity, raising transport efficiency and benefits, and minimizing road transport defect will be found out and adopted to keep a balanced growth of the society, economy, natural resources and ecological environment. In addition to the above base, an overall harmonious mechanism, involving local economic pattern & growth strategy, development mode and future composition of the highway traffic, will be set up.
