In this article,the author points out that strengthening the Party's ideological and ethical construction is an important factor in rectifying the atmosphere of the Party. through specifying the ethical qualities of the Party members and leaders at the present,the author elaborates that the ethical sources of the unhealthy tendency in the Party lies mainly in the influences of the utilitarian ethical thoughts left over by feudalism and the corrosion of the viewpoints of values of the individual pragmatism,which is held by the bourgeoisies in the west, the negative effects of markeet economy itself as well as the delayed education of ethics. In the end ,the author inquires into such channels and methods of correcting the atmosphere of the Party as the following: 1 .intensify the ecthical education and accomplishment; 2.speed up the establishing and perfecting of socialist market economy mechanism and standards and reduce the negative effects of market ecommy to the greatist extent;3.strengthen the ideological and theoretical construction of the Party; 4.intensify the construction of systems and purify the circumstances of society.
