Breakthrough Innovation Evaluation System And Mode Of Administration Study

There are two emerging trends in the world: First, new technology and the radical innovation that come from them were driving a transformation in all sectors of our economy at a phenomenal rate. The second trend was the increased rate at which relatively small, new entrepreneurial firms were generating radical innovations and take them to markets. At the same time, mature, manufacturing-based industrial found them with a reduced capacity for radical innovation. Radical new products play an important role in building competitive advantage and can contribute significant to a firm's growth and profitability. So, it is important to research how to manage radical innovation.First, this paper summarized the research production by other scholars and then point out the shortage of them.Then, this paper discussed about the reason of "new entrepreneurial firms is the resource of radical innovation, the big company is not good at managing radical innovation". We use market trajectory figure to present and explain the process of the radical innovation make established companies lose. Then we can know the reason and know the essence of radical innovation.After that the paper focus on constructing the discernment indicator system and evaluation system, and expect the firms can use this to find out the radical innovation project. A case was used as an example to show how to use this system.At the end of this thesis, the main content is about how to manage radical innovation, especially in an established firm. There are four following aspect about managing radical innovation that is discussed. The four aspects are: identifying the radical innovation project, managing the project, searching the market for the radical innovation product, and commercializing the project.
