Since the reform and open policy, the construction enterprises in our country has made adequate development. At present, with China' s accession to WTO, the construction industry itself in our country has been relatively lagging behind in the fields of operation notions% management modes and system originality. They are prominently reflected as follows: lack of capital operation notions> conspicuous features of rude operation and management and corporate system with an empty name as well as the resulting low efficiency of resources distribution and the impotent capital increment. In order to solve these problems, it is quite urgent that the problems such as capital management and operation be studied.Based on the theories of socialist market economy and capital management, by means of surveying research approach .. experts consultation approach > generalization from individuals and the other way round as well as combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis, by referring to the experience of both domestic and international enterprises in capital management, this research paper , focusing on the practical analysis in capital management of one of theleading construction enterprises in China---China Railway ConstructionCorporation, offers inspirations for the capital management of the large construction enterprises in our country and then comes up with strategic suggestions for the capital operation of the large construction enterprises in our country. The major creative achievements of this paper are as follows: the inspirations of the capital management of China Railway Construction Corporation; the strategic suggestions for the capital management and operation of the large construction enterprises in our country.Major conclusions: (1) The capital management must be carried out if large construction enterprises are to set up enterprise group in its real sense and to establish the modern enterprise system. (2) The capital management and operation of large construction enterprises should focus on the optimization of capital structure so as to achieve the resources distribution efficiency. (3) The central work of large construction enterprises is property recombination. (4) The capital expansion is the effective measure for large construction enterprises to strengthen its competitiveness.
