Virtual Enterprise Quasi-federate Collaboration Project Selection Process

Because of the globalization of market and the individuation of customer requirement, it becomes difficult for the individual enterprise to react to the rapid change of market for its limited competence. The presence of Virtual Enterprise (VE) make it possible that the enterprises take good advantage of the manufacturing resources of the whole society and survive the competition. Since the concept of VE is new, further research should be carried out.In this paper, firstly, the background and basic characteristics of VE are introduced, and the present research status of correlative fields is reviewed. Secondly, We discuss the tackling strategy which will be adopted by the small and medium size enterprises and point out what the enterprises should do to improve their consciousness, management and technology.This paper focuses on the algorithm of selecting synergic task. Aiming at single machine for serial sequential processing equipment and single machine batch processing equipment, the relevant mathematic models are built up, and both their simplified enumerating accurate algorithms and heuristic algorithm are achieved.It's necessary for the enterprises in mold & die industry to form VE since no individual enterprise can complete the production of a set of mold & die. The relevant system of member enterprise is introduced, which is expected to provide decision-making support in the process of forming VE and to provide production management in the process of running VE for the enterprises who are likely to be a member of VE in mold & die industry.
